The Nova Social is a one of a kind studio that blends a traditional tattoo studio with a full bed and breakfast. Designed to promote complete relaxation while you're getting tattooed. No shop talk, no distractions, no small talk with anyone else, just you and the artist.

In addition to booking full and half day sessions throughout the week, The Nova Socials unique space opens on the weekends. For groups or couples you can book a stay and spend the weekend getting tattooed and unwinding from lifes stressors.

Let Josh give you and your guests tattoos before putting on his chefs hat to cook you a meal while you hang out and recover. Josh treated us like family from the moment we arrived and truly took care of us the entire time. I booked this as a birthday gift for my fiancé, and the tattoo turned out incredible (pic below) we’re already planning to come back for more work.

What really stood out to me was how thoughtful Josh was in making sure that even as the person not getting tattooed, I still felt just as special and included in the experience. There were so many amenities and thoughtful touches on top of everything we already booked, which made the weekend feel relaxing and memorable for both of us.

We chose the weekend package with the hot tub, massage, and a delicious meal, and every part of it was wonderful. And getting to meet Oakley, his dog, was such an added bonus!

Such a unique experience with amazing hospitality, and we can’t wait to come back!

I spent 6hrs travel time to get to Josh for my tattoo and I will do it again because Josh is a top tier artist with uncompromising high standard in artistry. If you are one to settle with nothing less this is your man. Josh is not a "trace" tattooist which is the mark of a lesser artist to rely on tracing another work you may bring in. Josh will take your idea and transform it into a work of original art so let go and let him take the reigns this is his arena and he is master of his world. In addition to the undeniable talent he has Josh also offers other optional amenities unique to the trade. He operates a serene B&B with  massage, wedding packages, etc. so you can go get tatted and be pampered, eat n crash :)

It had a beautiful view of the water and a really welcoming atmosphere. He was fantastic throughout the entire process—from the design stage all the way through the tattoo session. It was an 8-hour appointment, and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time, providing water, snacks, and everything I needed. Truly everything you could ask for in a tattoo artist.

Joshua Pfister, an Ohio native with 15 years of professional tattooing experience. He is a proud father of two amazing boys and has a passion for all things art and creating. Specializing in black and grey realism tattoos with a hint of color, Joshua is always striving to become a more, well-rounded artist. His eye for design has undoubtedly been woven into the creation of his newly built art studio, offering a one-of-a-kind tattoo experience and more.

“I had a vision of creating a countryside tattoo environment that helps ease those small stressors tattoos can create or just simply, what life hands us. Of course, we’re excited to have kickass artwork on us, but that doesn’t always stop the mind-over-matter struggle when it comes to physical pain. That’s where I came up with the idea of integrating calming therapy practices into the tattooing process. I want to dive deeper into the meaning of relaxation through art and explore the impact it can have on our bodies when implemented in new and creative ways.”
